WHERE IT GROWTH: It grows all over Turkey. It is also found in the Black Sea forests. It grows quickly in favorable conditions. Poplars are grown in groves in many places.
STRUCTURE: Aspen, Al poplar, Konak poplar, Pramit poplar and Canadian poplar are the most common species. The entire trunk shows the characteristics of external wood. Al poplar does not make a belly. Other species are in the group of mature woody trees. All poplar species are diffusely porous. Year rings and veins do not give a definite appearance. Its pores and core rays are invisible to the naked eye.
COLOR: Depending on the species, the poplar is white, off-white, yellowish white, and sometimes brown core wood is encountered.
FEATURES: It is very soft, coarse and loose. It works less in suitable conditions, cracks hungry, It cuts easily, but it quickly dulls the cutting edges of the tools. It bonds well with glue. It has weak resistance to physical effects. It is well painted. Hard varnished.

USAGE: It's a good alder. It is used as a primer coating. Painting table and planchet etc. It is used in places and also in the manufacture of matches, in the interior of furniture. It is also used as building timber.
AVAILABILITY: It is sold as solid and veneered. Lumber needs to be dimensioned to the hardwood standard. It is adjusted according to body dimensions. It is used as a primer for coatings with a thickness ranging from 0.8-5mm.
